After a recent concert at the Melbourne Recital Centre, two of Australia’s heavyweight tango musicians Rojas (Sydney) and Cuttriss (Melbourne) are reunited in Brisbane for a night of electrifying tango and folkloric music in this intimate concert.

With the passion of South America bubbling in his blood Chilean-born composer and pianist, Daniel Rojas-Gonzales, performs the best-loved music of Latin America. His talent sighs, cries and proclaims the legacy of such icons as Consuelo Velazquez, Zequinha de Abreu and Astor Piazzolla, Tango, Afro-Cuban, Andean and Indigenous music. Jazz and classical influences are treated with Daniel’s trademark improvisation creating a truly heartfelt and transporting musical journey.

Bandoneon player, Stephen Cuttriss ignites the sonic soundscapes of Argentina on this unique instrument. He explores the roots of both urban tango and rich rural folk traditions.
